Tsamba Truffles With Dark Chocolate, Plant-based
Tsamba Truffles With Dark Chocolate, Plant-based
Tsamba (aka Tsampa) — the first food of the Tibetans
Tsamba has sustained Tibetans for many centuries. Tsampa refers to roast whole-grain Tibetan barley flour.
Our Tsamba Truffles are made with the finest roast heirloom Purple Karma Barley flour, premium cacao powder, 70% dark chocolate chips, cacao nibs, and Medjool dates. This unique combination results in a deliciously nutty, toasty flavor with a rich dark chocolate taste and a delightful crunch.
Vegan-friendly and free of added sugar, these Tsamba Truffles are perfect for a convenient snacking or healthy dessert.
Oregon-grown Purple Karma Barley – an American brought this heirloom barley from Tibet in 1924 and saved the seeds in the USDA seed bank until recent years. We feel fortunate to source this heirloom, eco-friendly, non-GMO crop locally.
Unique in character – purplish color (a type of antioxidant), Purple Karma Barley is high in fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals and low in glycemic index linked to regulating high blood sugar and diabetes.
