Tibetan Tsamba Balls With Oregon Hazelnuts
Tibetan Tsamba Balls With Oregon Hazelnuts
Tsamba (aka Tsampa) — the first food of the Tibetans
Tsamba, roast whole-grain Tibetan barley flour, is well ingrained in ancient lore and everyday life in Tibetan culture.
Our Tsamba Balls are delightful snacks made with heirloom Purple Karma Barley flour and hazelnuts. They are lightly sweetened with natural dates and offer a combination of nutty, toasty, and chocolatey flavors.
Perfect for a convenient breakfast or on-the-go snacking.
Unique in character – purplish color (a type of antioxidant), Purple Karma Barley is superbly high in fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals and has a low glycemic index (helps regulate high blood sugar and diabetes).
Oregon-grown Purple Karma Barley: an American brought this heirloom barley from Tibet in 1924 and saved the seeds in the USDA seed bank until recent years. We feel fortunate to source this heirloom, non-GMO, eco-friendly crop locally.
